A new chapter opened in the long and colorful story of the Trenton War Memorial, one of New Jersey's most illustrious theaters after a $35 million restoration that had taken nearly five years to complete.

The project addressed the past and the future by the meticulous historic preservation of an architectural treasure, listed on the National Register and State Register of Historic Sites, and by a thorough modernization of the building's infrastructure and theatrical production capabilities.

Seating 1,807 people , the grand auditorium of the War Memorial, known as Patriots Theater has served as a backdrop for presidents and governors, ballerinas and divas, maestros and magicians, jazz and jokes, crooners and conferences, as well as for the top tier of New Jersey's governmental, social, cultural, and business leadership.

The theater features a proscenium stage with a sprung oak floor, a newly enlarged orchestra pit accommodating 50 musicians, which can be raised to stage level to provide additional stage space, a concert orchestra shell and a state-of-the-art lighting and audio system. Located midway between New York City and Philadelphia, the War Memorial serves some 3.8 million people who live and work within a 30-mile radius of New Jersey's capital.
